Year: 2004 - Album: About a Burning Fire

I?ve only been playing about a month but my dad helped me figure out this one. It?s actually really simple and the way I do it sounds pretty close to the CD

So the intro goes?

e-----------3-------------------------
b-------------------0-----0----------
g----------------------------------
d---0--2---------------------------
a----------------------------------
e----------------------------------

Play that three times. Then the fourth time there?s a variation on the end so instead you play

e--------3---------3----------------
b------------0--------------------
g----------------------------------
d-0--2-----------------------------
a----------------------------------
e----------------------------------

The verse is pretty much the same thing as that by what I hear.

e--------3-------------------------
b------------0-----0---------------
g----------------------------------
d-0--2-----------------------------
a----------------------------------
e----------------------------------

(Last night?)

e--------3-------------------------
b------------0-----0---------------
g----------------------------------
d-0--2-----------------------------
a----------------------------------
e----------------------------------

(Stopping by?)

e--------3-------------------------
b------------0-----0---------------
g----------------------------------
d-0--2-----------------------------
a----------------------------------
e----------------------------------

 etc?

Greeting me with an embracing bad breath

And now it's five A.M.

You woke me out of a restless R.E.M.

I think it's time

To sober up and die

( I actually don?t know what to do with the Chorus? I think I?m hearing a string instrument in there I think so?
ugh if anybody wants to shed some light on that..)

Now every little second is time

And every word seems to rhyme

I follow every word like streetlights

To make it home all right

Now every little second just flies

I hold on to them like paradise

I follow every word like streetlights

I, I want to fall in love and leave tonight

( Now here you just go back to that pattern from above exactly as the first verse and inrto)

Been riding in the sunset

Ignoring what follows after beauty

Fades to black now

Just riding in the sunset

Now this paralyzing cold

Always comes crawling back

I think it's time

To sober up and live

(Chorus again?.)

Now every little second is time

And every word seems to rhyme

I follow every word like streetlights

To make it home all right

Now every little second just flies

I hold on to them like paradise

I follow every word like streetlights

I, I want to fall in love and leave tonight

(here they have some sort of saxophone or something playing a sort of solo but a few instruments sound good there. Personally, I like to use a flute for it.)

Every little second is time

And every word seems to rhyme

I follow every word like streetlights

To make it home all right

Now every little second just flies

I hold on to them like pieces of paradise

I follow every word like streetlights

I, I want to fall in love and leave tonight

I love this song because it?s so unusual. You just have to listen to it a few times and the beat will come really easy.
And if anybody can tell me what to do with the Chorus (please and thank you) my e-mail is [email protected]

Peace out

(ugh..yeah and I didn't know what to go for for 'style' so...eh whatever)
