Tears Of Blood

Tuning: I find the best way to play this is with the
Capo on the 2nd fret but only
covering the top 5 strings. This means, in the Chorus where it says A/D, play it as
a normal A chord in relation to the capo but add the open bottom string. The tab
below shows this: the bracketed 2's represent the capo.

However, it sounds alright if you just put the capo across all strings and play
a normal A chord if it's easier. :)

D A
I could come by rail or baby, I could come by car

I've been missing you in Houston 'neath that bar
          D A
Yeah, and I cannot remember all the reasons that you left

I know none of them rings true inside my heart

verse 2

              D A
I bet you're drinking as you go, baby you're so full of holes
        Bm G
I'm surprised the whiskey doesn't pour right out
          D A
And I may not be your best choice, but I thought love could fill the void
        Bm G G F#
If you need something that will not let you down

         Bm G D
When the tide comes and wets the embers

Of the fire you tried to keep
        Bm G D A/C# Bm
Just remember that I will wait for you

verse 3

      D A
It's looking like a storm out here on Highway 61
                Bm G
At least that's where we were before I fell asleep
       D A
Yeah, me and all the boys are living hard out on the road
        Bm G G F#
I know you don't care, just talking as I think

The parts the booze and pills just couldn't kill
          D A
Hope you turn and come back home, I'll be waiting here alone
