In Front Of Me

Written by Greg Laswell

     Gm Bb
I only know that I was there because I saw the film
     Gm Bb
I often wonder why you always believed I could swim
Eb Gm Bb Cm Gm F
'Cause I did my very best to drown in this
     Eb Eb
You only wanted me rising, wanted me rising

Chorus:

    Bb Eb
Here's a firm goodbye to yesterday
                            Bb
And the time I wasted in the words
                   Eb
Trying to find my way to you, love
    Bb Eb
Here's a firm goodbye to all the ways
                            Bb
I was trying to lose you when you were
    Eb Cm Bb F
Right in front of me, right in front of me

     Gm
I know that I'm inside
                   Bb Gm
From the time I spent on the outside looking in
                      Bb
What a storm to have been in
Eb Gm Bb Cm Gm F
Yet I did my very best to drown in this
     Eb Eb
You only wanted me rising, wanted me rising

Chorus

      Eb Gm Bb F
One moment later I would have been out, it seemed
      Eb Gm Bb F
One moment later I would have been out, it seemed
      Eb Gm Bb Eb
One moment later I would have been out, it seemed

Chorus (repeat)

NOTE:
In parts of the song such as the second "right in front of me" at the end of the Chorus, the chords
are debatable. On the second "right in front of me," I have the chords written as "Cm, Bb, F," although
it could be argued as "Cm, Gm, F" Choose for yourself, and decide which one you like better. It is difficult
to tell which one of the two chords (Bb or Gm) fits best between the "Cm" and "F."

With respect,
David Codington.
