C Am My girlfriend gets so depressed G She never leaves the house F She doesn't even get dressed C Am My girlfriend always leaves a mess G She says she's gonna to clean F But she always forgets C Am My girlfriend is there when I get home G Watching movies on TV F Or talking on the phone C Sometimes I wanna leave Am But I've got nowhere to go G But hey nobody's perfect F No one wants to be alone C Am My girlfriend is so unimpressed G By everything I say F You can see it in her face C I don't say much Am I just hope and pray G There's been some big mistake F And buy her flowers just in case C And I don't mind it Am When she goes out with her friends G And they drop her off drunk F And I take her up to bed C She's say: I'm sorry Am And I kiss her on the head G And everything is fine F Until the morning comes again Em F I remember when we were in high school Em F I took her to the dance Em F We snuck out to the bleachers Em F And I thought that I might take a chance C Dm Em F But it never does any long-term good C Dm Em F To go thinking about the past C Dm Em F God damn this wandering mind of mine C Dm Em F That can't be happy with what it has C Dm Em F But I'm not mad C Dm Em F And sometimes we still laugh C Dm And when she's just getting up Em F And the Sun hits her right C Dm Em F She doesn't even look half bad
