Beginner - Stuff With Triplets

	  		


This is a beat I thought up that would work well as
an intro for a song.  It’s played in 12/8 time.

S	--o|o-oo-oo-oo-o|o-oo-ooooo-o|
F	--o|o-oo-oo-oo-o|o-oo-ooooo-o|
B	---|o--o--o--o--|o--o--o--o--|
	4tl 1tl2tl3tl4tl 1tl2tl3tl4tl

Try throwing in some random notes on other drums to make
it sound cooler and more impressive.

Here’s another beat I made up that involves triplets.

H	|x--x--x--x--|x--x--x--x---|
S	|---o-o---o--|---o-o---o-oo|To make it sound cool don’t
B	|o-o---o-o---|--o---o-o----|always play those last 2 notes
	 1tl2tl3tl4tl 1tl2tl3tl4tl  on the snare.  Try using the
	                            toms or cymbals or even the
					    bass drum if you can.

Also, here's a little tip that'll help you play faster.
Have to pairs of sticks.  One kinda long heavy pair, and
a shorter lighter pair.  Warm up or start off with the
heavier sticks then when you switch to the light ones
you'll be able to play a lot faster.  Hope that helps
