Verse 1:
 D G Bm
Well her hair was as black as Pike County coal,
          G A D
and her lips were as red as blood on the snow.
                                      G Bm
She wore short vinyl skirts and them boots to her knees,
          G A D
and she lived in the holler 'cross the mountain from me.

Chorus 1:
D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so sweet
                         G
and I could never get enough.
        D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so easy
           G
for me to love...

Verse 2:
       D G Bm
Wild horses couldn't keep her old man out of jail
      G A D
for bootleggin whiskey his sons helped him sale.
                                       G Bm
Well growin' up in the holler wasn't nothin' by hard.
            G A D
fightin' roosters and curd(?)dogs tied up in the yard.

Chorus 2:
D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so sweet
                         G
and I could never get enough.
        D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so easy
           G
for me to love...

Verse 3:
           D G Bm
Well one night on the mountain back in the pine trees,
       G A D
Candy let down her guard -- she said she loved me.
                                         G Bm
We left the holler when her old man got put back in jail
         G A D
and she told all her brothers to go straight to hell.

Chorus 3:
D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so sweet
                         G
and I could never get enough.
        D A Bm
Hard Candy, you're so easy
           G
for me to love...

To do the hammer you hear during the D, just with your 1st finger
on the 3rd string as you are strumming.
enjoy :)
