Tinman And Dorothy

from Ounce Of Your Cruelty (single)

Tabbed by: Ben Gladdle ([email protected])

This is a lovely little tune, and easily the best (in my opinion) song
on the single. One of my fave BBK songs already. The dodgiest part of
this dodgy tab is the F/E I'm pretty sure that's what it is but I'm
open to suggestions... particularly from those who can actually play the
guitar properly. :) It's obviously just chords, so you'll have to figure
out the strumming and picking patterns for yourself. And the words are my
best guess.

           F F/E
i know you notice
         Am Bb
well the scales fall from my eyes
     F F/E
am i so focused
       Am Bb
that i let it pass me by

F Am
let's suppose that i grew cold
          Dm Bb C
would you still latch on to me

and if only
C Bb
things were as they could be
   C Bb
is that the stuff of make believe
    C F F/E
the tin man and you never falter
         Am Bb
and your purpose you hold charge
         F F/E
i always knew that
           Am Bb
there were roads lined with your scars

F Am
let's suppose that time grew old
         Dm Bb C
would it wait now for you and me
       Bb
and if only
C Bb
things were as they should be
